Tears of Love

Jessica stood at the window, watching as Chris's car disappeared into the distance. He was heading to Enugu for a job opportunity that would bring a better life for both of them. As the reality of their temporary separation sunk in, Jessica's eyes welled up with tears. She had grown accustomed to Chris's presence, his warm smile, and his reassuring touch. The thought of being apart from him, even for a short while, felt unbearable. Jessica's tears flowed freely as she thought about the long days and nights ahead without Chris by her side. Meanwhile, Chris was driving through the winding roads, his heart heavy with emotion. He had seen the tears in Jessica's eyes and knew how much she would miss him. As he approached the traffic, Chris's own eyes began to well up with tears. He thought about the sacrifices he was making for their future, for the life they both deserved. Chris knew that this separation was temporary, but the distance felt disturbing, He missed Jessica already, her laughter, her smile, and her loving touch. As he stopped at a roadside, Chris took out his phone and dialed Jessica's number. When she answered, her voice was trembling with emotion. "Hey, I just wanted to hear your voice," Chris said, his own voice cracking. "I miss you already," Jessica whispered. "I miss you too, my love," Chris replied. "But I'm doing this for us. I'm doing this so we can build a better life together. You'll always be in my heart, no matter where I am." Jessica's tears continued to flow, but Chris's words brought her some comfort. She knew that he was working hard to make their dreams a reality. "I love you," Jessica said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I love you too," Chris replied. "Out of sight is not out of love, my dear. You'll always be with me, in my heart and in my thoughts." As they talked, Chris's tears dried, replaced by a sense of determination. He knew that this journey would be worth it, for the love they shared and the life they were building together. Jessica, too, found solace in Chris's words. She knew that their love was strong enough to withstand the distance, and that their reunion would be all the sweeter because of it.
