TRUE LOVE HAS VISITED ME AT LONG LAST
True Love Has Visited Me At Long Last:
Due to the love of money everywhere by those girls, I used to think true love no longer exist until recently that true love has decided to locate me.
After the previous semester's exams. I left makurdi for my village, however I spent three days in the village, and had decided to leave the village for Enugu.
I boarded a car from Agasha to markurdi, the car alighted me opposite Benue links park, I was having some yams alongside my travelling bag.
I called a wheelbarrow guy who pushed those things in the Benue links park where I purchased vehicle ticket.
The ticket costed eight thousand naira. This was a place I use to pay two thousand three hundred before the COVID-19 incident.
It was was a fourteen seaters bus loading, my ticket number happened to be ticket number 13. that is the the penultimate (second to the last person) in the bus.
Journeys as such, passengers are arranged in the bus according to ticket numbers. I happened to seat in the back seat of the vehicle. That's a the seat adjacent to the boot.
Initially, I hated back seat with passion, and all all these years I have been traveling, that was my first day to find myself at back.
Perhaps God had assigned me there to find love. The kind of love I termed as a silver lining at the darkest clouds.
Beside me was a young good looking, beautiful, gorgeous and angelic lady who happened to purchase ticket number 14.
She entered and sat beside I son of Tsegba. If the scent of her perfume were a chemical bullet, she would have killed me a kilometer a way before reaching where I sat.
Her beautiful had shot me in the middle of the heart as a magic bullet and had totally crippled my thinking. What a beauty! I imagined.
I stared at her the same way a hungry dog stares on a person breaking bones and complimented her within myself once more: " what a beautiful girl!"
If I had seen mommy water in the past I would have mistaken her as one cause the beauty was so extraordinary.
she looked at me with her eyes as white as a white dove and greeted me friendly: " good afternoon sir" I smiled gently and responded "afternoon my dearly" be gentle as you are, son of Tsegba. I said to myself.
I inserted my earphone and was listening to a gospel music which sings: Ekuemeee--- Ekuemeee--- you are the living God oh Eze no one like you.... This was because for someone to have finished a semester's exams in a frustrated department as mass com it truly means that there is no one like Eze.
she inserted her's too and was watching a movie, my mind was not at rest even while listening to the gospel music as I was planning on how to start talking with her.
Before we could reached Apir, a very soft hand touched me gently. I turned and looked in to her eyes with a written evidence of my feeling all over my face.
she looked at me teasingly and asked:" are we out of makurdi town already?" I smiled briefly and said yes.
Wow! She exclaimed, trying to concentrate back to her phone, when I asked : is this your first time of been to makurdi? No my parents base here in makurdi but I am from kogi, I normally visit them while on break. she responded.
I like to know your name and which part of makurdi you normally visit your parents if you wouldn't mind.
She smiled gently and said: " you are asking two questions at a time, well, my name is Cyndi, my parents stay in Judges quarters". Am I free to concentrate on my movie now? She asked amusingly.
No! I responded jokingly and introduced myself as well and asked her what she was going for in Enugu.
I am not going to Enugu, I am going to Abia, I am a corp member she responded. Wow that's awesome, I said gently contemplating on what to say next, then I sighed heavily and asked: what course have you studied?
She stared at me with a smile and said " Sociology" . What a nice course; I responded trying to flattered her even though I didn't know much about what sociology is all about. Thank you she said happily.
You have not told me about you, you only told me that your name is Chris and where you stay in makurdi, are you a corp member as well?
I have not told you because you didn't ask me, I think I am the only one here keen to know about who sits beside me. I said jokingly as we both burst into laughter.
Well, I am still an undergraduate student at the Benue state University. wow! That's nice. what course are you studying and what level? She demanded again. I'm a 400level mass communication student. I answered.
That's great she complimented. Thank you baby socio. She looked at me too flabbergasted to speak and bursted into laughter, after which she said: "so bro MACOSA you Nick named me baby socio? I smiled gently and asked: for your mind you don avenge by calling me bro MACOSA ba?
Where are we now? She asked. With her beside me the long journey was already becoming the shorter one ever.
We are in ubolo now. I replied. Is Enugu town far from here? No Enugu town is not that too far from here.
We arrived Enugu by 6: 00 pm. I had insisted she spent the night in Enugu to avoid being on the road late hours but she insisted that she had to report in the camp unfailingly, I insisted the more by telling her that the next day was going to be sit at home in Igbo land but she insisted not to spend the night.
We stormed off the Old park where we alighted to where she could board a car for Abia and that was where we exchanged our phone numbers.
I told her to give me a short call whenever she arrived.
It was 10: am pm already yet I did not miss her call, I called her to know if she had reached, on receiving the call I heard an angelic voice: " heilloooo Chris I am still on my way".
Eyaaa hardluck for the stress, I hope the journey is going smoothly? safe journey I will call you when you arrived, if I don't, just give me a short call to remind me. Okay, she responded.
It was exactly 11: 00 pm when my phone rang at a point I picked up my pen to write Bongos ikwe's words on NTA where he says:" my best song is the one I am yet to sing".
I picked up her call and heard an angelic voice again that she had arrived. We spoke as long time friends and instructed each other to take care of his or herself.
we kept talking and she requested that I should visit her a week ago. Guess what! When I visited her I was surprised, she prepared a very delicious meal for me and after the heavy consumption we sat together, then she asked if I have heard from my girlfriend.
I told her I don't have any girlfriend, she looked at me teasingly and said: " how will you convinced me that you don't have any" I smiled gently and said but that is the truth.
she stared at me and smiled softly and said: Chris you are a nice guy, it is written all over you, I love you. I smiled and sighed heavily and stammered so unsuall tan... tan.. Thank you! Looking straight into her eye then I heard my phone ringing, I opened my eyes slowly and picked up the phone only to discovered the 3: 00 0clock alarm I set before sleeping ringing. If only dreams were to be reality I would have been happy.
