AM I A MAD MAN?

He is abnormal and everyone knows he is, to an extent people call him a mad man, he saw me today and I was  surprised he called by my name and asked: "Mr Tsegba am I mad?"

Ideally I was suppose to say yes but obviously an  answer from a sane person should  be "No"

and that was exactly my respond.

 “Thank you!” he replied.

Then he whispered enquiringly,

“just because I don’t see things the way  people do,  makes me a mad man?”

"No", I answered again.

He bow  down and wrote “W”

and asked me: "what is this?"

At this point, I was already feeling ashamed, why will I involve in a lengthy conversation with him?

In a hurry to leave, I said “W”

You are right Mr Tsegba but you only see 'W',

because of the angle at which you are looking at it.

 If you turn upside down, you'll see “M”;

If u look from the right side, it is “3”,

and looking at it from the left side, it is “E”.

The fact that I don’t see things at the perspective at which everyone sees doesn’t make me a mad man, he said and  left.

Then I pondered so long about this and its application to life.

Because we act and relate to people base on the perspective at which we are looking at their situation.

Have you taken your time to look at other possible perspectives?  After this question  I then decided that,

before I get angry with, or act against, nor judge  anyone that has done something unfavourable to me,

I will view it in at least three possible perspectives:

> my own perspective,

> his own perspective

> others perspective'.

So, before you judge people, before you rage your anger on them, take a little time to view their angles or perspective, and, if you still can not see a reasonable reason, then you may act  reasonably.
