THE HELPLES JEALOUSY

There lived two  friends know as Jealousy and Progress, they were  natives of a village called " Mbatseke". While people were in Their farms and shops for daily activities, Jealousy alongside his friend Progress would left Their houses for alcohol. they were not just drunkards but great ones; choice of drink was an old song to them, they would  drink anything drinkable.

Both Jealousy and Progress were married. the beauty of their wives was everyday's talk in the community; it was not easy to say who's wife pass the other until while  elders were cracking jokes, a man known as "Investigation" was asked to say who pass the other. Everyone guffawed out monkey's sputum as Mr Investigation huffed and puffed and then said " they are all beautiful but Mr Progress's wife standout in her beauty".

Mr Progress's wife  (Advice) would always advised her husband's brothers to work harder and harder while Jealousy's wife ( Envy) would envied  her husband's brothers.

Mr Progress believed that, though if he does not have, once his brothers have it means he has, he would quote a quote that " one who is surrounded with Rich people is  also a rich man. 

Mr Jealousy was a devil in human form, he was haughty and selfish, he would received instructions from his wife (Envy) to pull down his brothers.

 A day came that Mr Progress fall sick and was taken to the hospital for medical treatment, unknown to his family that the sickness was as the result of the intake of alcohol, the  result had shown that his kidney has damaged and he needed to traveled abroad for kidney transplant.

His wife (Advice) was stranded as there was no money to traveled abroad, she called her husband's brothers whose she use to advised  to work harder and explained to them, some money were raised by Mr Progress brothers for his treatment abroad.

Few months after Mr Progress was treated and delivered from the spirit of alcohol he returned home only for his friend Mr Jealousy to fall sick, He was taken  to the hospital for treatment but the result had shown that his kidney has damaged as the result of intake of alcohol. 

Mr Jealousy's wife ( Envy) called his brothers and explained that money should be raise for her husband treatment abroad but they did not give her listening ears as a result of her husband's attitude toward them.

The helpless Jealousy cried bitterly and went to a native doctor to find out why his very own brothers refused to help him.

On reaching there, the native doctor looked at him and said: whenever you point an accusing finger (index finger) on someone that he/she  will see something, the big finger (thumb) bears witness, the other three fingers ( the middle finger, the ring finger, and the pinkie finger) faces you.  Before the person you have pointed an accusing finger at, sees that which you said. you will see it three times, I am sorry I can't help" the native doctor concluded and that was how the helpless Jealousy died.
